Quartz Counter-tops

Quartz counter-tops are man-made, engineered stone surfaces. They are made from a mixture of quartz, resin binders, and pigments. Quartz is strong like granite but more flexible which makes it better for handling. Unlike other stones, quartz doesn’t need to be sealed and can easily resist stains. The material is extremely hygienic which makes it safe for food handling. Although quartz is strong and stain resistant, it can be damaged by high heat (above 400F) and prolonged heat exposure. Quartz is not ideal for outdoor use because it will fade in the direct sunlight. Unlike granite, quartz has a consistent pattern and color, so what you see is what you get.
